About Mold in Your Home:
Several varieties of mold can grow within your home. While you might not necessarily get sick, you definitely should remove the mold once you determine its presence. Mold is associated with several health risks including allergies and infections. Should someone in your household experience chronic cold or allergy-like systems, it may be worthwhile to test your house for the presence of mold.
Mold growth is caused by moisture in the home. The best way to keep your house mold-free is to prevent excess moisture. There are several ways to do this including keeping humidity levels low, using an air conditioner during humid times, making sure your home is ventilated and eliminating all leaks within the home. Should you find mold in your home, Crystal Restoration can help effectively address and remediate the problem.

Here’s what we’ll do:
- Provide for the health and safety of workers and occupants. Mold-contaminated buildings, systems and contents are associated with a range of health problems.
- Document the conditions and work processes. An effective mold removal and remediation plan cannot be developed without first determining the extent of contamination to be removed.
- Control the contaminant at its source. When mold spores are aerosolized, they become very difficult to capture. Initial moisture mitigation services may be performed to control mold amplification, while ensuring that mold contamination does not spread from more contaminated to less contaminated or non-contaminated areas.
- Physically remove the contamination (source removal).
- Correct the moisture problem to prevent recontamination. Since mold spores are present at background levels in a normal fungal ecology, mold growth is virtually inevitable if moisture is not controlled.
