Water Damage Restoration

Emergency restoration services are crucial for home and business owners faced with severe water damage. Without prompt action, structural deterioration, fungus spore growth and permeating odors can increase geometrically. Crystal Restoration Services handles water damage with a coordinated program designed to remove water and prevent further damage.

Immediate Inspection of Property

We first contact the homeowner, business owner or other appropriate person to arrange for an immediate inspection of the affected property.

Damage Assessment

The project manager assigned to the file, a trained restoration professional, visits the site and assesses the damages. Using state-of-the-art moisture detection tools, he also determines whether water has seeped behind the walls, under the flooring, or into any other nonvisible areas. Digital photos are taken so as to later assist the insurance adjuster in his or her claim assessment.

Standing Water Removal

Trained technicians are called in to remove all standing water utilizing professional extraction equipment and/or pumps. When necessary, sections of base molding, drywall, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, etc. may be removed, along with insulation, in order to better access hidden damp or wet areas.

Carpet Salvaging

Carpeting is pulled up and salvaged whenever possible. Wet padding may be removed and discarded to aid in the drying process.

Drying Process

In order to speed the drying process and quickly reduce the humidity to a safe level, commercial-grade air movers and dehumidifiers are brought to the job site and strategically arranged throughout the affected areas of the property. We use only the most current, high-tech drying equipment available. (In situations where the water damage is severe and extensive, Crystal Restoration is able to obtain the use of dehumidification trailers designed to dry entire structures.)

Disinfection of the Affected Site

The site is treated with specially formulated, EPA-registered antimicrobial solutions, which aid in the protection against odor and disease causing germs, bacteria, fungi, mold and mildew.

Drying/Salvaging of Possessions

Important documents, works of art, furniture, draperies, computers, appliances and other electronic equipment are thoroughly dried and brought back to pre-damage conditions wherever possible.

Re-Inspection and Additional Services

The site is continually re-inspected over the course of the next few days to assure that the drying process is proceeding properly. Once it is determined that the affected areas are dry, any additional services required, such as carpet repair work, padding replacement, and carpet cleaning, are scheduled with the insured. In cases where the carpet is not salvageable, Crystal Restoration can assist in the replacement process.

I wanted to let you know how happy my family and I are with your recommendation of Crystal Remediation! We called you early on New Year’s Eve day explaining what had happened in our home.
